PADI Manta Ray Awareness (available January - April)

If you are visiting during manta ray season, you are in for an incredible experience! These gentle giants are a sight to behold, and you can learn all about them from our in-house marine biologist. As an endangered species, raising awareness and providing opportunities to see manta rays is vital for their conservation. We collaborate closely with the Manta Trust to gather essential photo identification data, which helps us understand the abundance and distribution of oceanic manta rays (Mobula birostris) in Costa Rica.

- PADI AWARE Manta Specialty certification

Did you know that in Santa Teresa we have sharks all year-round? This is incredibly special considering that shark populations are in global decline. The misunderstanding of sharks and their negative public portrayal may hinder their conservation. Our course aims to increase wildlife, conservation and environmental awareness about sharks and then apply that knowledge to the local white tip reef shark community.
